The forged bond between these two teenagers grow when they adopt two Indian girls that save their lives -and by doing so the 'crew' becomes a band of survivors to be reckoned with. In the city against thugs, or against a raging river, friendship, trust, and love prove to be an insurmountable combination to beat.

When events change the story it proves that daily life was hard was a constant struggle to survive, and had to be endured. But life gets better in the sequel: "Baby Grape and the River Folk." or does it!?!
