Their cargo is more precious than the gold they carry and with the help of people they have never met; they narrowly avoid spending years in jail! But life isn’t too unfair as some old scores are settled and our pair is free to resume their lives on the river –briefly!

As always Toby and Jayne are called upon to do more than is humanly possible, but when Toby gets deathly ill, Jayne must choose to leave him and endure a challenge nearly beyond her limits to travel with two people she has just met and rescue her half-sister Robin.
